But as they journey through a decaying industrial nightmare, they uncover a horrifying truth: the Wall is built from living flesh. Faced with eternal torment, they make a desperate bid for freedom. Speculative, animated short film that uses surrealism to explore the legacy of Soviet totalitarianism in Lithuania and its lingering psychological effects on Eastern European youth. The film critiques authoritarian regimes by constructing a dystopian world where obedience leads to horrifying sacrifice. The project blends dark humor, historical symbolism, and stylized animation to provoke reflection on past and present systems of control. Inspired by Balys Sruoga ‘Forest of Gods’ and Danzig Baldaev tattoo art.
